School Dinners

Our cooked meals are prepared at Riverside Junior School. There is a varied and balanced menu operating on a 3 weekly rotation (see below for details).  Any special dietary needs can be catered for.

Any child who wishes to bring a packed lunch from home is welcome to do so.  Healthy packed lunches are strongly encouraged. Drinks must not be brought in breakable flasks or glass bottles.  Pupils are encouraged to drink water during the school day.

Payment

Meals are £2.80 per day / £14.00 per week.  A dinner register is taken every morning where your child can order their school lunch.   Lunches are ordered at 9.25am each day, if your child is going to be late or has a medical appointment and would like a lunch, please notify the office before 9.25am, otherwise a packed lunch from home will be needed.

If your child is sick, we can cancel your meal if the office have notification before 9.25am and you will not be charged for it.  Unfortunately if we do not have notification of a cancellation before 9.25am, the lunch will start to be prepared and you will be charged for the meal.

If you pay for your child's meal our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer, please contact the school office for details, however we still take cash or cheques.

Payment can be made weekly, monthly or half termly in advance - let the school office know which you would prefer to do.  For those ad-hoc meals we can also take payment on the day.

Menus for Summer Term 2024

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control menus during the term may need to change with little or no notice due to stock shortages from our suppliers.

We will endeavour to provide meals as close as possible to those advertised, but please bear with us during this difficult time.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
